Abstract:
Postoperative cognitive dysfunction (POCD) is a common central nervous system complication after anesthesia and surgery. The mechanisms of POCD are not clear yet. The article reviewed several potential mechanisms that have been reported. Further researches are needed to identify the pathophysiologic progress of POCD, which have great clinical and economic values.
